Mindflood is a design and development company.
But not just any design and development company. They designed and developed this very site.
[At this point, you might find yourself pausing a moment to figuratively scratch your head and ask, “What exactly is a design and development company, anyway? I feel as though I should know… I mean, I read Wired and all…” Don’t be shy. It’s a new breed. They produce highly branded websites, as well as print and broadcast.]
Anyway. Back to Mindflood, a design and development company.
In the entrepreneurial wilderness that is their industry, Mindflood has taken a decidedly careerist stance. They’re not focusing on the easiest or most profitable assignments, but on the biggest opportunities. (Hey, did I mention they did this website?) They’re also dedicated to staying 100% independent, without outside investors, to retain complete creative and business control.
The three partners in Mindflood, Chris Kief, Noah Costello, and Chris Lund, could be cashing in on their unique skills by working for The Man. Instead they joined forces to create a boutique with lofty goals: “One, to do great work. And two, to pay rent.”
So goes Mindflood’s irreverent wit, the kind my mother used to call “smartalecky.” Fortunately they can back up the talk with killer work without getting spanked in meetings.
